Celebrating 100 Days of Color & Creativity at KCL
Byadmin
At KCL, the first 100 days of learning were nothing short of magical, as our young learners embarked on a journey of discovery, creativity, and hands-on exploration. To commemorate this milestone, we hosted a vibrant art display, showcasing the incredible skills and knowledge our students have acquired through inquiry-based and experiential learning.
The celebration highlighted a wide array of projects that demonstrated the students’ Higher Order Thinking skills and creative expression. Here are some of the standout activities:
- Exploration of Nature: Students investigated the forest, the life cycles of plants and butterflies, and explored the habitats of animals and birds.
- Building Bird Nests: Through hands-on crafting, children constructed bird nests, learning about the intricacies of bird habitats.
- Family in a Box Wooden Crafts: A heartwarming craft project where students designed unique representations of their families.
- Seasonal Creativity: Fall-themed crafts with corn kernels brought the beauty of the season to life.
- Apple Seed Project: A sensory-rich exploration of apples and seeds, fostering curiosity and understanding of plant growth.
- Sensory Adventures: The young learners crafted with diverse materials, enhancing their sensory experiences and creative potential.
- Alphabet Parade: A joyful parade where students creatively celebrated their learning of the alphabet through costumes, props, and art.
Every project reflected the hands-on, inquiry-driven learning approach that is central to our philosophy. Students were immersed in meaningful exploration, developing their critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning.
This 100-day celebration was a testament to the power of hands-on education in building a strong foundation for lifelong learning. We are proud of our students’ accomplishments and look forward to many more moments of discovery and creativity throughout the year.
